It's never too scary, but has enough jeopardy to make it the first 'exciting' thing this 4-year old has watched. It's been fun to follow this progression with him, and especially now I can see him enjoy some real adventure-storytelling: epic calamities & fantastic rescues with a well-written cast of likeable heroes.
